A “Longest Night” service will be held at Peace Lutheran Church in Dickinson on Tuesday, December 21 at 7:00 p.m, led by Pastor Mike Pretzer and Pastor Dawn Busch. This worship service allows grieving, lonely and hurting people a chance to worship in a reflective setting by singing hymns appropriate to the season and by lighting candles in observance of the losses in one's life.  The name, Longest Night comes from the shortest day and the longest night of the year, December 21st.  The name also reflects how many feel at this time of the year who wrestle with grief and loss. 

This service of worship allows space to remember, grieve and lay your losses and pain at Christ’s feet.  It is our sincere hope that attending this service will be one more opportunity for you to grieve and continue the journey toward healing. This service is open to the public and will also be available online.
